Glucose oxidase converts the sample glucose into gluconate and hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide in presence of peroxidase oxidizes the chromgen 4-amino antipyrine compound to a red colored compound. The intensity of the red colored compound is proportional to the glucose concentration and is measured at 505 nm.
